Hi,

This is not necessarily DNN related but I wanted to hear your thoughts anyway. I noticed a very abrupt drop in traffic on PokerDIY from the 23rd. The results seem to be consistient across my various logging tools - GetClicky, G. Analytics, Sitelog and new user signups were all down heavily, and I can't figure out why. It still has not really recovered - any ideas?

My first thought was that a Google index shuffle had taken place. None of my sites dropped in PR, and I still seem to be at the top or near the top for all my relevant keyword, so I am not sure about this.

The Iwebtool site checker showed a drop in links back to PokerDIY - it was 9000 last week (I take asnapshot every Monday) and now it's 2500! I assume this was a Google shuffle? Has anyone else noticed a drop in traffic from the 23rd? Here are the 2 days before and after this date, and my signups per day:

Date Views Visitors Users
2007.05.25 5484 1392 34
2007.05.24 6605 1517 36
2007.05.23 5671 1481 40
2007.05.22 18019 1997 80
2007.05.21 9978 2244 52
2007.05.20 14789 2396 127
2007.05.19 10486 2454 69

The 22nd was an exceptional day, but Views are normally over 10k per day and now that are around 5/6k.

Here are the new users per day:

6 May 2007 7
25 May 2007 14
24 May 2007 7
23 May 2007 10
22 May 2007 33
21 May 2007 19
20 May 2007 47

Any suggestions? I tried to find some info about a Google update around that time, but as far as I could see there was a PR update last month and nothing this month (unless it took some time?)

Hi All,

I am judging by the lack of responses that nobody noticed anything unusual around this time... traffic is up a lot since then but still not as high as it was... I'll probably never know why... oh well

Not sure if it is related, but I've noticed a very hard drop in activity on DNN.Com in the last two months.

Well personally I have noticed a big spike in my site activity and google referrals since right around the 20th of may, almost a 100% increase to be exact.
