Hello, the DotNetNuke I installed has run for a couple of days and now after a gap of nearly one month, it is returning errors in a certain RAR file. I don't know how I can sort this out. I tried to uninstall the whole package and reinstall but I don't find it in the "add remove programs" at all.

There is another trouble too. I watched the traincert1 video for installation help. Still I got stuck at changing sharing and securities step. The ASPNET user - as per the video - was not found in my computer!

I appreciate any help. Even if I need to start from all over, it is fine with me. But please be using a layman's language, I am a non technical guy.

Tbaks very much.

Raj

I don't know of any RAR files within DNN, only ZIP files that are used.

Are you talking about a straight installation fo DNN, or are you working with a Starter Kit for Visual Studio?

I assume you're using XP - so when you've no ASPNET user found (re)install the .NET 2.0 framework. Asks when it doesn't helped.

Hi, I have Win RAR platform installed on my PC which is a file compressor- works just like Win ZIP. But the thing didn't pose a problem the first time over.

Yes, I am working with the Starter Kit for visual studio

yes I have reinstalled .NET framework but not 2.0. I had the 3.0 version which I did. But it didn't help either. Later, I once again tried installing from DNN source kit instead, but invain.

Is it (I am beginning to think) that I am starting off from a wrong point- I began from this folder "C:\DotNetNuke\Website\Install" after extracting the download. Was it right?
