So far I know, DNN 4.x requires .NET 2.0 - not 1.0 or 3.0 !

Now I have removed the .NET FRAMEWORK3.0 and have 2.0 only. But still no improvement. I thought of taking the typical installation way, unfortunately that file isn't opening at all.

I didn't know installing DNN would take away 3-5 days. Local help isn't available here at all.

Please be aware, that .Net 3.0 = .Net 2.0 + extra components.

Actually if not tested this under the following situation. You mean when you've a out of the box xp installation, install then .NET 3.0, DNN  and MSSQL Server and it should work?

So far I know .NET 3.0 is .NET 2.0 +  :
1. Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF)
2. Windows Communication Foundation (WCF)
3. Windows Workflow Foundation (WF)
4. Windows Cardspace
but coming to the point this .NET 3.0 will make then a sense when you've a 100% supported IDE - was VS2005 isn't. To the moment (I've you want) you must take VS code name 'Orcas'.

I have seen some customers reporting inablity to install 4.5.3 and when I investigated, noted that .net 2 is not running anymore.

Re-installing did not help.

I am still investigating.
