Hi

Got a couple of questions about uploading my locally built website to a webhost.  First off all i have used the default database.mdf with my local installation of DNN 4.51.  I do have SQL Managment Express installed just perfered to use the default install then becuase i didnt know anything about DNN then.   Will this be an issue?  Is there a tutorial on this subject?

Secondly, i am a little confused about the portal alais and the fact that my portal is http://localhost/dotnetnuke at the moment but it will need to be changed when i upload the site.  Do i need to do this first or do i do it after i upload, and if so how would i access the site?

OK baby steps

Any coments, suggestions

for your first problem have a look at this blog post from Shaum Mehaffie: http://www.dotnetnuke.com/tabid/825/EntryID/1202/Default.aspx

for the second question: add the new portal alias before transferring the site.
