it has been a while since i coded changes to dnn, so i thought to ask rather than rely on old knowledge:

I need to augment the registration for one portal to limit email addresses used to a specific acceptable list. This is only for this portal. Should i simply go and re-code register.ascx (if that name is still used).. or buy something like Dynamic Registration 2.3 in order to give me more features?

The basis of the question is that i would prefer to avoid core changes if possible.

thanks kindly for any pointers, drew..

I believe you can simply edit the RegEx under the "User Settings" for the specific portal.

I would be sure to test this with multiple portals to ensure that it does function as desired.

You can get to the "User Settings" by going to Admin -> User Accounts -> User Settings
