I've just built my first custom module using this guide:

http://www.adefwebserver.com/DotNetNukeHELP/DNN4_WAP/

I then followed the instructions on how to package here:

http://www.adefwebserver.com/DotNetNukeHELP/DNN_PackageModule/Default.htm

I tried to install the module on a new DNN 4.5.3 site and got this error:

SQL Execution resulted in following Exceptions: System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: Procedure or function 'AddDesktopModule' expects parameter '@CompatibleVersions', which was not supplied.

It's almost certainly due to the ModuleName.SqlDataProvider file that was created from the 4.5.1 Starter Kit. It looks like the new Starter Kit should include these extra params.

The question is: what do I do now? Do I uninstall the 4.5.1 Starter Kit (how?) and install the 4.5.3 Starter Kit? My module is built so surely all I really need is the correct sql for the ModuleName.SqlDataProvider file.

Can anyone help me out with this?

I managed to get it to install correctly by manually updating the ModuleName.SqlDataProvider file. So I guess for any future dev work I need to uninstall the 4.5.1 starter kit and keep up to date with the latest release.

Can I just install any new Starter Kit vsi for VS2005 files over any previous versions?

Installing a new starter kit won't update sites/projects made from previous starter kits.  I just reinstall my custom modules into a new project from the new kit
