I am having the exact problem mentioned in this post:http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/Forums/tabid/795/forumid/107/threadid/14567/threadpage/2/scope/posts/Default.aspx

I get the Parser Error Message: Could not load type 'DotNetNuke.Global'. when I try to load up any page in a DNN 2.1.2 site that I have migrated from my customers current host to mine. 

I am running Windows 2000 and .NET Framework 1.1... do I need to upgrade to .NET 2.0?

I simply restored their database backup and copied all the files into a folder and created an IIS site for the folder and this is what I get... what am I missing?

Thanks for any and all help on this... I would be willing to pay for a consultant to help walk me through this instal...

Make sure it is running .Net 1.1.

The likely causes are...

1.  Not all the files got copied over.  Especially check you BIN folder.

2.  Necessary permissions have not yet been set.

Well, that may be it... in my root folder, here are the folders I have:

admin
aspnet_client
Components
controls
Documentation
hisp
Portals
Providers
Web References

As you can see, no BIN folder... this is DNN version 2.1.2... did it have a bin folder?  Do you know where I can find an install for 2.1.2?

What permissions would I need to set?
