I can't figure out how i'm supposed to configure the MSDE connection string.
I have the MSDE running on a diffrent server (not the webserver)  named "SQLserver1" with named intance "Instance2"
I've set up a local user for the database and given it the dbo and public rights to the DNN db.

Could any one please help.

First can you confirm the Database you are using - there is no such thing as MSDE 2005.  Do you mean? SQL Server 2005, or SQL Server Xpress 2005?
