Hello. Couple of newbie questions, please.

Before I dive into DotNetNuke I'd like to know,

Can I use C# to build my modules/portlets (or any other languages)?

Can I display a Microsoft Access table in a Portlet?

Thanks.

Thanks, but could you or someown expand on that a little?

So you can use, C# OR Java, to build your modules/portlets?

Am I saying this right, would it be a module or a portlet?

Do you know of any examples or references for importing a Access into a Portlet?

Thanks, again.

jerrware1,

You are most certainly able to develop your modules in C# - no problems there...

At the very least, when developing your custom module you could write code that will allow it to communicate with a Microsoft Access database.  There may be some examples or even a data provider out there that would allow you to use something that is already available to get started, but like I said - you will at the very least be able to write code in your custom module to talk to the Access database just as you would be able to in a "normal" .net app.

hope that helps,

Ian

Yes, that helps.

I am use to development in the Java/Unix world, but C# and .Net looks very promising.

Thanks.
