I have not personally seen this but I had a customer's site basically implode the site it there but consists of to small horizontial lines.  When I queired them on the actions that did that proceeded this, the answer was they went into the settings, and then advaced settings and changed the background color did an update and it all disappeared.

This site was a 4.1 site as I recall so my question is has anyone seen this in the past and what would be the remedy to fix this issue without starting from scratch?  Is it possible that it is a DB entry that I can edit?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Russ,

I'm sorry but its not clear to me what exactly you see when you go to the site. Are there no visible elements of the site? can you not access any part of it or is it just really ugly?

if you want to reset the background in the database...go to the portals table there is a nullable column called BackgroundFile.  update portals set backgroundfile = null where portalid = 0 (make sure you have the right portalid though)

hope that helps,

Ian

Ian,

The page is blank except for 2 small horizontial lines.  I looked per your suggestions and the field was already set to null.  I have a feeling something else happened but what I am not sure.

http://www.mystychope.com  this is the site and you can see what I mean.  It is totaly baffeling to me.

What is inside the DNN Log???

Viewing the source it seems that the page generation is broken before rendering any module.. A error must be generated. Please post the error text.

Note. The error can be obtained from the database as well.

Thanks for the reply.  I am not sure what to think I looked at the database entries for the log (unless I am looking at the wrong table) all I could see was application started  and application stopped.
