I''ve just started using DNN and i'm was browsing through some of the showcase sites and came across some functionality that i'd like to implement.

http://www.q107.com/home/default.aspx

Is it possible to achieve the news article functionality as shown above (or better yet on a site like Wired.com)? Where a user can write an article and then an editor can publish it. Published articles can be displayed numerously on the front page etc. etc.

Do I need a third party module or can this easily be extended using something something like the blog module. If it's the former could someone suggest some third party components that could help make this happen?

Thanks in advance.
Cheers

Rob

You may want to look into Xigla products.

Your users (editors & writers) will not be integrated, but they may not need to be.

Very reasonably priced and work very well.

BTW, be sure to also check out the other products. I put a link for the scaled down news feed earlier, but what I was thinking of was the full-blown news manager.

Thanks for your suggestion.

I'm really looking for the ability to comment on articles though. That feature is very appealing to me.

I guess i'll keep searching or maybe take a stab at creating my own DNN module *cringe.

Cheers
