It would be fun to tell your horrible hosting experience story (if we can chat about it), what is the policy on this and forum rules)

Anyway, I need to change host, before I suit them, for the sake of my customers.

Anything that is not WebHost4Life, plese let me know.

PS: if someone ask, and we can chat about it, I will tell, for the sake of your customers if you depend on a certain hoster.

Well I too had a horrible experience with a previous hosting provider.

About 4-5 months ago I switched to 3Essentials and I have to say that I cannot be happier.  Their suppor responses are great, they actually resolve the issues on the first request and know what they are working with.  The control panel gives me ultimate control over my sites and is every easy to use.  Their hosting plans offere overall good service for decent prices.

If you are interested in them, I would appreciate it if you can use this referral link to shop http://www.3essentials.com?3eref=13422

Count me in on the list of 1st time hosting unhappiness. I started with TacticalSystems only to realize very shortly into the process that they were nothing more than an absentee landlord just around to collect the rent, offerring no support, no returned contact, etc.

In a nutshell, absolutley horrible.

Then I switched over to PowerDNN and have had nothing but the most stable hosting, excellent support, and helpful communication. It has truley been the most pleasurable experience I've had with a hosting company.

I recommend Tony and his team to anyone that asks, they are top notch in DNN hosting.

Hi,

I'm happy to report that my experiences are on the flip side of the coin. My hosting history has been a pleasant one.  At all times I have had good support and good communication.

I've used frontserve.com (from the begining of my US hosting days when hosting in Ireland was a costly affair).

Now I'm back in Ireland with digiweb.ie (Complete full blown enterprise data centre.)

I'm enjoying complete control over everything and support is just a telephone call away.  Its so good that I havent had to phone them for over 6 months since I got up and running.

In fact I visited their new centre and was blown away by their NOC. It was like hanging out at NASA for a shuttle launch. :-)

So if anyone needs a hosting solution in europe and at good value be sure to check them out.

Colin

I've been with PowerDNN for about 18 months after switching to them from one of the "cheap" hosting providers.

I would say that if you know a lot about the server side DNN stuff, have the time to mess with it, and can find a "cheap" hosting company that will allow you the access to the server (sql enterprise manager, ftp, etc.) then that might be a way to save a little money.  However, In my opinion I would rather pay a little extra (an additional $10 per month or so) and have a company that really knows DNN,  has top notch servers, and excellent support. Saves me a ton of headaches.  The only downside to PowerDnn I have found so far is their disk space allottment is a bit on the low side. Other than that they are the best DNN specific hosting company I have found.

Hope This Helps

Greg
