What page did you set for the splash screen?

I set it to a page that was created for that purpose. It is visible to all but it not on the menu. I contains registration/login controls, but no other site links. All other site pages, including the Home page are restricted to Registered Users only.

It turns out that the fix didn't last very long. It is again loosing the User Account Settings and I have no idea why. I have another copy of DNN running on my local PC for development and it's working find. Go Figure.

Hi Ed,

I'm having the same issue. After making changes in Admin > User Accounts > User Settings the changes seem to persist for a short time then revert back to default settings. I have even made the changes directly to the database but they dont seem to persist for more than a few hours. This is very frustrating as I require all registered users to provide address details etc on registration so I set 'Profile Required for Registration' to True, but after a while it reverts back to False. I'm using DNN 4.7. If anyone has any idea what is going on I would love to know. Could there be something in the Scheduler or web config file that might be causing this.

Hello,

I have the same problem with User Settings not persisting, and resetting back to default by itself.  I tried to repeat what you've done, but it didn't help.  I run 4.5.8 DNN

Same problem in 4.8 !!!   This is REALLY A HUGE PROBLEM - can't believe core DNN software would have a bug like that go unnoticed for several versions.
