Now I have got the hosts on the case to do what they need to do on the IIS.

But now I'm really confused. I read the how to do a clean download in FAQs and it says to unzip all files to c:\dotnetnuke which I've done. It then says:

Then browse to localhost/DotNetNuke in your web browser. The application will automatically execute the necessary database scripts.

Does this mean go to c:\dotnetnuke in the browser? When I do this nothing happens. What does this last bit mean? Should something happen?

Will it be possible to install this if I do not have a deicated serer. What instructions do I need to give to my host people about waht they need to do?

What should my database be called?

Can someone just say if it's not possible to install this thing unless you're some kind of techy? Either that or can we have we have some documentation that is written in normal language as I've tried reading the doucuments on the site but I don't understand what is meant to 'localhost' (looked it up on the internet and it say it means my computer that I have right here) nor do I know what 'point at' means. What I really don't understand is what should be on my computer and what needs to be FTPed to my server.  I've looked at web.config but I don't seem to be able the bit I need to change plus there are various differing opinions on this on different areas of the site.

I am a tech author. Maybe if I ever get this working I will write a manual about it.
