I have tried both Public and Verified registration for my site. When registering as a test user to verify the registration email I never receive an email.

My forms on the same site send mail fine, The test email configuration in the host settings area sends email properly as well. My smtp settings are correct as all other forms and tests do send email though the site.

The registration process is the only piece not working with regards to sending mail. I'm using DNN 4.5.3.

Is there some new configuration I need to enable? Any ideas?

Regards,

Patrick

please make sure that the admin user, specified in Site Settings, has a valid email address, cause this account is used as sender.

You can also verify this by looking for errors in the Admin>Event Log for SMTP errors

The email user is valid.

I checked the event log. I wonder if I need to use NTLM? I've tried basic and anonymous.

here's the error I see when the registration email is trying to send.

Figured it out. I needed to use localhost for my mail server.

Thanks for the tips.

Patrick
