If you plan to install language packs or modules or whatever on dnn you will need write permissions on nearly all folders below the root.
So instead of doing this manually for each folder, do on the top root folder of you dnn installation and make it inherit to subdirectories.

To create, upload and manage language packs take a look at my blogs here.

Now that I have 4.3.0 installed on GoDaddy I am finding that I am having problems with some modules. I cannot install the new Events Module, it errors out. I am having problems with the Announcement Module showing HTML data in the announcement. I am wonderfing if this is a GoDaddy issue again.

Is anyone else having issues like this that has successfully installed 4.3.0?

Hi Lee,

Following your instruction, I was able to successfully install 4.3 on my GoDaddy site. If I have a free moment, I may create a batch file which helps document and semi-automate the install process.

To answer your question about potential problems, I tested the announcement module with HTML, and I ran into the same problem you described (doesn't render the HTML). I wonder if this is an issue with 4.3 rather than GoDaddy however. I can't see why permissions would have anything to do with displaying HTML on the announcements module.

Anyone else who is running 4.3 locally have problems rendering custom HTML in the Announcements module?

This is a known problem of the updated announcement module, that has already been reported (and will hopefully be fixed in next version).
