Went from DNN 4.3 to 4.5

The forum software is 03.20.09

Have you checked the event viewer to see if there any messages for the forum? This should generate some kind of error i would say

I found a  thread on this issue (DotNetNuke.Modules.Forum.Groups.RenderTopHeader) on the forum. Hopefully this will get you a bit further...

Marc, unfortunately I cannot get into the management section of the forum module at all.  It doesn't show up on the page at all.  However, reading the other thread makes me think that this may be the problem here.  For, I know that this all started after another site admin told me that they changed some setting...and then it broke. 

grrrrr!!!

How do I get to module settings like this when they're inaccessable via the normal admin mode?  Sometype of backdoor?
