Hello,

I have read other post related with this issue, but can figure out how to solve this.

I'm trying to add images to an HTML/TEXT module content.  I am using the FCKEditor, click on [Image] button on toolbar, then when the Image Properties window pop up, I click on [Browse Server], then select the image to insert. OK.

I see the image on the FCKEditor. OK.

I see the image if I select Preview.  OK:

But when I click on [update] the image doesn't appears.  DNN refuses to show the image with this ERROR:

DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: StartIndex cannot be less than zero. Parameter name: startIndex ---> System.ArgumentOutOfRangeException: StartIndex cannot be less than zero. Parameter name: startIndex at System.String.InternalSubStringWithChecks(Int32 startIndex, Int32 length, Boolean fAlwaysCopy) at DotNetNuke.Modules.Html.HtmlModule.ManageUploadDirectory(String strHTML, String strUploadDirectory) at DotNetNuke.Modules.Html.HtmlModule.Page_Load(Object sender, EventArgs e) --- End of inner exception stack trace ---

I've upgraded to DNN 4.5.5.   Same ERROR.

I've installed the last version of FCKEditor (1.00.09 at the time of this writing).  Same ERROR.

I've reinitiated the application.  Same ERROR.

I've cleaned the Cache.  Same ERROR.

This is really dissapointing to me, and more for my users.

HOW CAN I SOLVE THIS PROBLEM?

  Thanks in advance

What version of text/html module do you have at your DNN instance?.

It is happening on all modules or just text/html?

From your error it seems that this error belongs to the text/HTML module and not to the editor.

Locopon,

Thanks for your interest, I have TEXT/HTML 4.05.00.

As you say it is possible that the problem is due to Text/Html and not to FCKEditor, since if I try to add Images through the Basic Text Box I get the same error.

This problem doesn't appear in the non-child portal.  I guess something is wrong with the images paths, but don't know how to fix it.

Thanks for your help.

Does anyone have experiment this same problem? Any workaround?

If it is possible, please send me a copy of you text to locopon at tiendaboliviana (dot) com.

I will try to reproduce that. This can be specific to the content your are trying to upload. Also, please send me the following information:

1) Is  the site a root site or a virtual folder??..

2) If it is a virtual folder. How it is named?

Those questions may answer some ideas I have about a combination of that information making the routine that fixes path information to be returning in an error.

Locopon:

De nuevo gracias ... oh perdón.

           Thanks again for your help.

The text is very simple: just a title and an image.  I reduced the error to the minimum expression to discard other factors.  This is the HTML Source:

<p><strong>Canticum en el Pasaje Dardo Rocha:</strong></p>
<p><strong><img width="512" height="384" alt="" src="/www.ecoros.com.ar/canticummundi/images/formales/Pasaje1.jpg" /><br />
</strong></p>

          Answers to your questions:

         1) Yes, the site is a virtual folder

        2) it is named www.ecoros.com.ar/canticummundi

, please remember that the images behave OK on the parent portal (www.ecoros.com.ar), just fail in the child portal.

      Gracias por tu ayuda,

      Peter
