Hello, I followed the thread:

http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/Forums/tabid/795/forumid/127/threadid/122136/scope/posts/Default.aspx

, and found that Boskone found the bug and made a simple fix for it.    However, currently it is not available.

Can anyone send me a copy of that?

Thanks in advance,

Peter

That fix is already included in the current version at dnn 4.5.5

Are you aware that your sampe url includes a "/" at the beginning? please try without that symbol first.

I have tried all possible paths, with and without "/".

I have tried the very absolute path to the image, then I tried omitting a level at the time, with and without "/".

This must be a single error, since I am able to see it OK on the FCKEditor, and in preview, but when I click on update, the same error appears....

DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: StartIndex cannot be less than zero. Parameter name: startIndex ---> System.ArgumentOutOfRangeException: StartIndex cannot be less than zero. Parameter name: startIndex at System.String.InternalSubStringWithChecks(Int32 startIndex, Int32 length, Boolean fAlwaysCopy) at DotNetNuke.Modules.Html.HtmlModule.ManageUploadDirectory(String strHTML, String strUploadDirectory) at DotNetNuke.Modules.Html.HtmlModule.Page_Load(Object sender, EventArgs e) --- End of inner exception stack trace ---

DNN is 4.5.5 and Text/HTML is 4.05.00.

What can I do to circumvent this?  Maybe uninstall/reinstall ?

Hello,

As I am stuck with this, I uninstalled the TEXT/HTML module, download it again (version 4.5.5), and install it again.

Then I tried it with a single page that has an only image.  Same error.

Very discouraging. to see this, but the worse thing is discover that all people consider this as "fixed".

I really don't know how to continue.

Do anyone have any suggestion?

-Thanks

The original error that was discussed in this thread is a FCKeditor provider related one. As you can see from your own error message, this error you are receiving is produced at the text/HTML module:

DotNetNuke.Modules.Html.HtmlModule.ManageUploadDirectory

That is the routine causing your problem. And this routine is not from the editor provider, it is from the text/HTML module

Combination of things can produce unexpected results. Try using another skin, container. try disabling whitespace remover and HTTP compression, verify what kind of engines you installed at your DNN.
