hi everyone, if I wanted to expand the fields available in a user profile under DotNetNuke 4 and have my Portal set up with integrated authentication so all my users exist within a domain, how can I make sure that user attributes from active directory surface within DotNetNuke?

an example would be where I would add a field to a user's profile in active directory called "type of fruit" and add the same to DotNetNuke, with these automatically synchronise as part of the DotNetNuke core or do I need an additional tool or development?

To do this you need to develop your own AD connector. Each time you wish to use this information, you will have to pull this info from the AD manually. I would like to see the core team pull all the AD fields in the near future. It is a pain to have to keep pulling the physicalDeliveryOfficeName to display local and group news to my corporate intranet users.

Cheers!

Cheers!
