I'm sorry if I offended you. I had a case with one of the users, he was logging in with "Remember me" option, then he used to logout and was very frustrated when the portal did not log him back in automatically on his next visit. That's when I realized that necessity to not log out if you want the portal to remember you is not immediately obvious to some users. By the way, the developers might consider disabling logout link if the user is logged in with "Remember me" option active.
