Hi,

When changing servers for our dotnetnuke portals, we changed from having them on the c:\ to the e:\ drive. This works perfect, except for the repository module. When trying to download files uploaded on the prior configuration we get the following error:

A critical error has occurred.
Could not find file 'C:\portals.wmu.se\Website\Portals\1\Repository\Field_Study_Programme.407ebf6f-e807-4c5c-abe1-fee5813a015a.pdf'.

Uploading new files on the new configuration works. Does someone have any idea of how to deal with this?

/carl

Log into your site using the HOST account, then go to the Setting page for your Repository module. Near the bottom of the Repository settings you can set the physical path where the files are stored for that module.

I have the same problem but can't find the place to edit or add a physical path. I login as host then go to host/module definitions then scroll down to the repository module and click the edit icon and can't see anything that resembles a path. Also checked all the control settings and found nothing. I am obviuosly looking in the wrong place.

There is a folder setting but it can't be changed. Any ideas?

Log in as Host and go to the page you've placed the module on. On the module go into the Settings and expand Repository Settings. There'll be a textbox with the old path (eg: C:\Inetpup\DotNetNuke\Portals\0\Repository) that you can enter the correct path on.

That did the trick.. thanks. I totally misunderstood the initial instructions and went for the module definitions instead of the page module.
