Frederic,

I am able to reproduce your issue. The behaviour is different for super users compared to any other user, even members of the administrator role.

The issue is casused by a fix in PortalSecurity made for DNN4.5.0 due to script filtering. It detects whether the input contains "<" to decide whether a text is encoded or not. I think this behaviour is wrong - we could work this out with encoding it before calling  the filtering. Super users are allowed to add scripting, so for these the filter is not called and the xml remains as wanted.

Hi,

Thanks for sorting this out.

When using the "super user" account, the text will indeed be saved and displayed correctly (the first time). But when the same item is edited once again (using the super user account) still some tag has been eaten. This makes things unusable even when using the "super user" account (something I could do) as it will not be possible to modify the text without having some mess with the tags.

I guess there must be some kind of filtering happening when retrieving the data from the tables even when using the "super user" account.

Could you confirm this behavior?

Is there any workaround you could think of?

Regards,

Hi,

Any input on this problem?

Any possible workaround as, unfortunately, even using the super user account still does not make it.

Regards,

Frederic, please send me a mail, it would help to get this fixed.
