Hi,

I'm using Xmod and Xmod Calendar.  It's fantastic, it's a bit intricate at first, but after a few days of playing around with it, it gets really easy.  The Xmod forum is an excellent place for support and they are always quick to respond.  The layout of the callendar is exremely customizable, and I am always amazed at what Xmod can do in general and how many options and workarounds you can implement.

I use the Xmod Calendar for some situations because it's very customizable but it does not do recurring events. Which is it's one major drawback. The best events module for DNN would be WebPlanner from Felafel. You can adjust just about everything from an appearance standpoint as well as many adjustments for functionality. (370+ adjustments!) Two cool things about this one is the seperate "wait list" module where you can list events and then drag & drop them onto the calendar to schedule them and the email notifications.

If you go to their website (www.falafel.com) you can download a free fully functional trial module to use & test.  The only downside to this module is it is somewhat expensive.
