DNN and your browser are easy to check. In DNN log in with Host credentials and check if you have caching turned on under Host Settings. You browser you can check through Internet Tools.

Hi,

i have the same problem! ( i just installed v.1.00.03 of the AD-provider) but always get the message

"Error while processing Windows Authentication
Check your IIS settings. DesktopModules/AuthenticationServices/ActiveDirectory/WindowsSignin.aspx should NOT allow anonymous access"

anonymous access is definately set OFF for the WindowSignin.aspx! Only Windows - Authentication is checked!

Next to this, what about the "<add name="Authentication" type="DotNetNuke.HttpModules.AuthenticationModule, DotNetNuke.HttpModules.Authentication" />" - line in the web.config, do i need it?  I guess so, but it always gives me an error when not commented out! (assembly or reference not found)

any help is highly appreciated

What version of IIS are you running Michael?

Leave that line commented out or delete it. The provider uses the second Authentication line in the <httpModules> section.

IIS version is 6.0

FYI, i had an older Provider version installed before 01.00.03! may this has some effects?

The previous version shouldn't have any effect as there hasn't been any changes in the file structure (files no longer being used etc) itself and I haven't run into the problem on any of my systems.

Did you have the same error with the previous version? I'll have to dig through my email at home. I think this error is similar to what another user was getting and he ended up having to apply a patch from Microsoft.
