Hi Mike,

I have messaged on other post with the current issues I am having:

http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/Forums/tabid/795/forumid/89/threadid/259137/scope/posts/Default.aspx

It seemed to be working on Mozilla for a day or two, then stopped working and nothing had changed. In IE, I have upgraded to IE7 and the site is in the trusted sites list, still having same problem. I don't want user to see loging page as it should be automatic in all cases, except for admin and host. And I have set my web.configaccording to the AD1.3 documentation. Don't know what am I missing here. It's driving me nuts .

After I provide credentials in Mozilla, its not making any entry in the Users table as it did for a day or two. And "GetCurrentUser" function is returning -1.

Thank you very much.

Divya

Hello, Mike.

This thread came out on top of my search, and going through it I almost got all my questions answered.

I am running DNN 6.2.3, Windows Server 2008 R2, and IIS 7.5.  I followed all the steps to configure this to Active Directory.  The intranet site I am running has the very basic purpose of being our tool for keeping current versions of files (Excel, Word, etc.) used across our global network.  When a user comes to our site we want them to be able to just browse around and download what they need without logging in.

For the purposes of administration we are using the Active Directory login feature.  The problem I have is that sometimes (not every time) when you first go to the site you get one of the "Anonymous Login not allowed" messages instead of the user just getting to the home screen.  I want the users to all initially come to the site as anonymous, and then have the option to log in using active directory.  How do I configure the site to behave in that manner?

Thanks for you help!

Bill

Heh, the text editor didn't like me using any tags.

Okay, the easiest way is to set the autologin in the settings to something like 127.0.0.1 (this points to your server) or to comment out any "add name=Authentication..... lines that mention ActiveDirectory in the modules and httpModules section of your web.config.
