Hi,

I am using DNN 4.5.5

Sometimes when i click on the "Logout" button when iam logged in as admin, it fails to logout and the control panel is still visible and i can perform admin functions as well. This only happens with IE not firefox. Strange thing is that i don't know for sure, under what circumstances this happens.

This issue has been posted by a member before here ... in the wrong forum though.

Is this a known problem/bug with 4.5.5? What can be done abt it?

I've experienced the same kind of issue, but not just related to logout. Turned out it was a memory/caching issues on the box. I throttled down the caching level and things worked again and haven't failed since. The box I'm on as 1G of RAM and runs about 90% utilized all the time, so clearly not optimal.

If your on a shared box with 2000 other websites you could definitely run into memory issues that cause cache problems.

i also have my own server so i can try out your advice... i think i can afford to lower the caching level to 'Light' as my server is still under utilized
