I've got a bit of a complicated environment, but I've tried to keep things as simple as possible. Basically, I've got a staging site and a production site. The staging site url is http://stagingsite/japanese/ and the production site is http://productionserver/japanese. I've got the same database on both production and staging right now, and everything connects perfectly. The problem is that all the images and links are not working on production even though they work on staging. Looking at the source on production, links to images look something like this: /japanese/Portals/1//Japanese/Portals/1/advertisingBanner.jpg. In the database, the image is shown as a root relative link of /japanese/portals/1/advertisingBanner.jpg. So my question is why, on the production server, is the site adding in the additional relative path to make the path shown above. Is there any way I can fix this? It's throwing a real wrench in the works here.

I just downloaded last week. So ... 4.6.2. Sorry. I forgot to include that in  my original post.

One other thing to note is that the links to the skin elements in the header and left pane seem to be fine. It's just the links in the content pane.

More testing shows it's just the images and not regular links that are showing the double path. I just updated one image path in the staging database, replicated it to production, and the source looks like this: src="/japanese/Portals/1//Japanese/Portals/1/syoukai_01.gif".
