I have forum module 3.20.09 installed and would like to know if there is a way with dotnetnuke to have autologin to the forum when I log into the site.  

Would I have to do this in code or?

You don't login into your forum, you always login into your dnn site.

Or do you mean that every login should redirect you to your forum? This can be set inside Admin ->Users-> UserSettings

Not exactly what I am looking for.  I want when I login to the dnn (otherwise the website login) that it automatically logs me into the forum.  I dont need it to direct me there, just that if I go to the forum, I am already logged in and I don't have to when I go to it.

The answer: Simply log into your website. This will automatically grant access to the Forum (if there are the proper permissions set for your user group to have read or posting rights). It's as simple as that!

(What Stefan suggested was merely an option you have, that if the Forum is really the most relevant part of your website and you want every user to automatically be directed there after login you can set that up under Admin > Site Settings. But if you don't need that, just leave the default value there.)
