Does DNN have any inherent ability to integrate with source control (e.g., VSS 2005)?  If it doesn't, are there any 3rd party modules that would provide this functionality?  What I'm looking for is a fairly simple solution to store changes to the content over the life of the site, in case something happens and they want to "undo" changes.  Thanks.

Tim

The best way currently to backup content is by regularly backing up your database.

If you need true CMS functionality with workflow, approvals, and versioning you can check out the Engage: Publish module from www.engagemodules.com We've taken that module over the last years and built quite a versioning system for articles and categories. It can be used as a replacement for the Text/HTML module as well.

DotNetNuke portal content is stored in a database, therefore you cannot use a (file based) source control system like VSS to provide undo functionality. You will need modules, that support versioning - one of the features announced for DotNetNuke 5, that shall become available next year.

Regarding a versioning version of Text/HTML, there is a free enhanced version available at www.effority.net

I would highly recommend looking towards Chris' offerings at Engage or other modules that are available.  Even though you could manage versions in a way via db backups it isn't really possible to roll 1 itemback easily that way.
