Hi everyone!

I have developed a module on DNN 4.6.2 using C#2005. When run, it generated an exception like this:

Could not load file or assembly 'MyModule.MiniHR.SqlDataProvider' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified

And below is the detail message I got from Event Viewer:

System.IO.FileNotFoundException: Could not load file or assembly 'MyModule.MiniHR.SqlDataProvider' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified. File name: 'MyModule.MiniHR.SqlDataProvider' at System.RuntimeTypeHandle._GetTypeByName(String name, Boolean throwOnError, Boolean ignoreCase, Boolean reflectionOnly, StackCrawlMark& stackMark, Boolean loadTypeFromPartialName) at System.RuntimeTypeHandle.GetTypeByName(String name, Boolean throwOnError, Boolean ignoreCase, Boolean reflectionOnly, StackCrawlMark& stackMark) at System.RuntimeType.PrivateGetType(String typeName, Boolean throwOnError, Boolean ignoreCase, Boolean reflectionOnly, StackCrawlMark& stackMark) at System.Type.GetType(String typeName, Boolean throwOnError, Boolean ignoreCase) at System.Web.Compilation.BuildManager.GetType(String typeName, Boolean throwOnError, Boolean ignoreCase) at DotNetNuke.Framework.Reflection.CreateType(String TypeName, String CacheKey, Boolean UseCache, Boolean IgnoreErrors) in E:\DotNetNuke\Library\Components\Framework\Reflection.vb:line 278 WRN: Assembly binding logging is turned OFF. To enable assembly bind failure logging, set the registry value [HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Fusion!EnableLog] (DWORD) to 1. Note: There is some performance penalty associated with assembly bind failure logging. To turn this feature off, remove the registry value [HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Fusion!EnableLog].

I really don't know  what kind of this error.  Please help me!

Thanks very much!

If you are using WAP method (VS2005 SP1) to develop the module, then you need to set Build-> Output path to dotnetnuke bin directory . If your module placed in  \dotnetnukeroot\DesktopModules\MyModule then output path is ..\..\Bin

If you are using IIS for development, you can set/create virtual directory: Web -> Use IIS Web server with http://localhost/nameofyourdotnetnukeinstance
