Have a client running dnn 4.5.3, they have a large number of tabs (hundreds).

Presently they can no longer add a tab to the site, or update existing tab settings.  The page just hangs.

On insert, the tab is created with the proper parentid, but the level and taborder are both set to 0.  When trying to correct this via update, the page once again hangs and no updates are made.

Tracing SQL server, the only thing I can see is a large delay on GetTabs.

This maybe related, but I also get a general exception when trying to empty the recyle bin.

First restart app, then try to truncate transaction log in database and eventlog as well as schedule history in DNN first. Afterwards try to clear recycle bin. Hopefully this frees up resources used for reading the tabs. I also suggest to upgrade to latest DNN version, where a few performance leaks have been fixed.

Cheers from Germany,
