I went through the tutorial of uploading DNN from localhost 2 hosting server. I backed up the DB, and downloaded Core FTP Pro programming. My problem is I can see all the DNN files from my localhost, but when I try to connect to the hosting provider's server I encounter problems. I have added the Portal and I have the server's IP address. When i try to connect using anonymous username and password it seems to be connecting but when i try to upload files, the upload fails.

Should I create a specific directory on the server... It's my fist time doing this and I'm really not sure how it works... Please assist urgently...

this seems to be an ftp issue rather than a dnn issue. Please contact your hosting provider to solve your issue
