Has anyone seen an instance where DNN sub-menus are shown horizontally and always visible?

For example, a site has four tabs: Home, Products, Support, and Contact. Under the Products tabs there are four Sub-Tabs (Menus): Lawn Mowers, Monster Trucks, Baby Cribs, and Pet Supplies.

When a user mouses over products the sub-menus don't appear. When the user clicks the products tab the main products page appears and now we see all of the sub-tabs listed horizontally across the top, under the main tabs (home, products, etc).

I understand that this is not standard functionality (or perhaps it is). However we have a developer working on our site who is saying that this can't be done. Has anyone seen this done before? If so, does anyone have any guidence as to how this can be done? Does anyone know that this can't be done? If so, why not?

Thank you in advance.

Put this in the Client API Component forum.. Jon Henning there made the menus and will surely know all the details.

There are some third party menus as well, and one of them might do it more easily.. check on Snowcovered or maybe the amrketplace here on dnn.
