Just installed the Beta into 4.6.2 using IIS7 and received this error on "Save" after creating a new page.

I believe an update to 4.8 will solve this. I'll confirm.........

Server Error in Application "Development"

HTTP Error 404.11 - Not Found

Description: The request filtering module is configured to deny a request that contains a double escape sequence.

Error Code: 0x00000000

Notification: BeginRequest

Module: RequestFilteringModule

Requested URL: http://dev.it.com:80/Wiki/tabid/80/topic/Page+Name/Default.aspx

Physical Path: C:\LocalSites\Development\Wiki\tabid\80\topic\Page+Name\Default.aspx

Logon User: Not yet determined

Logon Method: Not yet determined

Handler: PageHandlerFactory-ISAPI-2.0

Most likely causes:

  • The request contained a double escape sequence and request filtering is configured on the Web server to deny double escape sequences.

What you can try:

  • Verify the configuration/system.webServer/security/requestFiltering@allowDoubleEscaping setting in the applicationhost.config or web.confg file.

More Information...

This is a security feature. Do not change this feature unless the scope of the change is fully understood. You should take a network trace before changing this value to confirm that the request is not malicious. If double escape sequences are allowed by the server, modify the configuration/system.webServer/security/requestFiltering@allowDoubleEscaping setting. This could be caused by a malformed URL sent to the server by a malicious user.

Server Version Information: Internet Information Services 7.0.

Thanks for testing that with 4.8 Jack, let me know how that goes. I've had the same problem with VIsta but haven't had a chance to test it out yet.

Chris;

While editing a non existing page, it is always assigning the wikihome page as default instead of reading the name of the link.

For example if you typed [[whatever]] and then clicked it , you will get the empty editing window with the wiki home page title there. This is making people replacing the homepage of the wiki.

On the other hand, i think that the page title should be the file name by default, currently if user did not assign a title page, and you go to recent pages, you will see that something changed but can't see the title of the topic.

Thanks

J
