I can insert youtube videos with Html/Text module, articles, blog, etc, but when I try it in a new Forum post the html code disappears. I'm using DNN 4.8 and Forum 4.4.3. I'm the webmaster of a great musician community, and it's very important to me to insert this kind of posts.

The html code I try to insert in the "source view" of the FCK editor is something like this:

<object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/_1Qo1eaWF8c&rel=1"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/_1Qo1eaWF8c&rel=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object>

Help!!!

I would love to know how to do this as well.  I can use the insert/edit flash and it will display a mini version of the video in the preview box.  The actual text box will show a flash holder, then after submit it's replaced with <p>&nbsp;</p>.  Any help here would be greatly appreciated!

I have read that it's something to do with the core settings of DNN.  However I have noticed that you can insert youtube vids with the embed code in text/html boxes.  Wouldn't the core limit using it here as well since the same editor is being used?  I also found a forum module from Presstopia, while not as flashy as the new DNN Forum, that does allow you to use the embed code.  So my doubts of it being the fault of the core of DNN have greatly increased!  I can't wait till version 4.4.4 though that does allow youtube vids as per www.ddnforum.com!

Yeah, I noticed this too. Any embedded Flash (or object in general) gets stripped after editing. The screwy thing is that the Flash file will play in the FCKEditor AND the Preview. It disappears on saving to the DB and drawing the thread. It sucks because this was working great in the previous version of an earlier verison of DNN (I have this feature working in DNN 04.04.01 using Forum Module 04.04.03, but it breaks with DNN 04.05.05 using Forum Module 04.04.03). Sounds like there was a change between the two versions of DNN that has ultimately affected this useful feature.
