I'm afraid I'll get no reposnses due to "lack of description" but this one is odd!

I'm creating a listing module that includes a "Description" field that I'm using a dnn:TextEditor for.  I've also got "Summary" and other TextBoxes, some multi-line.  The problem is, everytime I go to save, in my post back my teDescription (my dnn:TextEditor) text value is always set to blank ("") after typing something in.  Every other control contains it's typed in value, but the TextEditor.

Before some of the obvious are asked:  Yes, I do have ViewState enabled

Now, I've also  tried setting the teDescription.Text value = "Some initial verbage" in the Page_Load event - if Not a PostBack.  I can edit the value inside the editor, and on PostBack - my value is what it was originally set to --- "Some initial verbage".

I am running the StarterKit for DNN version 4.7 - I'll try upgrading to 4.8, but I don't believe that will affect anything.

Please Help!!  Thanks

there appears to be some issue with the rich text editor and the AJAX implementation within DNN.

Go to the Host->Settings page and disable AJAX. Go back and try again and I believe you'll see that it now works.

Steve, Thanks for the tip!  That was it! And you saved me a few hair folicles!

I searched Gemini for anything regarding this issue and didn't notice anything off hand.  Do you know if this issue is being addressed?  I'm assuming it is since you pointed it out ot me, but I'd just like to be able to follow it through so I can update my module when it's fixed!

Thanks again!
