I've posted a beta of the 01.00.03 release of the provider here. This release has a number of fixes and a few enhancements (ACD-3084, ACD-4641, ACD-5563, ACD-6416, ACD-6451, ACD-6452, ACD-6493, ACD-6901). ACD-6901 is a major fix for DNN 4.8.0 as the current provider will cause the site to crash. Version 2 fixes a javascript problem that was also related to ACD-6901.

This release is no different from the 01.00.02 beta except that a warning is now displayed on the Admin->Authentication page if the code detects that the site is running on IIS7 using the integrated pipeline and I've also commented out the exception message that was getting posted in a lot of Event Logs when the redirect to WindowsSignin.aspx happened (ThreadAbort messages).

The files are beta and haven't passed through the DotNetNuke Release Process so do not use them on a production site until you have thoroughly tested them in a test environment.

Installed in intranet production environment four days ago (500 clients), and no crashes nor exceptions anymore!

Wonderful job, thanks Mike!

Hi Mike,

I managed to install and configure succesfully the AD authentication provider but when it comes to login in I still get the same home page and my personal domain account is not recognized, and I even don't get an error.

If I try to test it on my laptop using VS2005 I'm not shure how to enforce Windows Authentication instead of anonymous...

As an end user you will still get the same homepage except that your user account should be logged in. Does it show anything where your name would normally be? IE: If you look here on the DNN site when you're logged out it says Register | Login and when you're logged in it says <YourName> | Logout. What does yours display? Can you login in manually? Have you tried clearing your cookies?

On your laptop, it depends if your laptop is part of a domain or not. If it is then setting the permissions is the same as on your server unless you're running Vista. Then it's a little bit more involved.

I'm quite new to dotnetnuke, and I've read conflicting things about whether or not AD integration is possible with 4.8. Could you please tell me whether the latest AD Provider will run with 4.8? If not, which version of DNN should I install? I need AD for an intranet site.

Amy
