I am seeking to reduce the size of my DNN pages. I have started looking into reducing the size of the javascript files by removing comments and white space. For example the size of dnncore.js can be reduced by 50% according to this online Javascript Compresser tool (it not only removes comments and white space it also obfuscateS Javascript code). Has anyone any experience in using this tool or any experience of other ways to redcue the size of the core DNN Javascprit files?

Thanks

To answer your question in short, no. But...

Modification to core files can certainly be done under the current license (provided that you don't resell) without issue.

With that being said you shouldn't have any issue changing the file as you see fit. I would make sure that I back up the file(s) AND databases before any modification. There is in existance many tools that reduces the size of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript files so I'll let you get than on your own. I can say that functionality may change within certain files as browsers process whitespace differently.

Hope that helps.
