I am trying to use the starter kit (as it worked perfectly on my wife's XP machine) on my Vista Ultimate PC. When Visual Web starts to create the project an error pops up "DotNetNukeDaa sql data provider could not be found in project templates" creator continues with a warning that the build will be incomplete. Indeed it is with 14 errors and over 100 comments. Can someone please help me?  I've tried all the Vista Tricks and me and my PC or either tired (3 days now), confused, or a combination. I thought maybe the starter kit would work as well as it does on XP! Am I wrong? Thank you,

I responding to my own thread. I resolved the issue by deleting anything and everything that had DNN in it. Then used the Starter Kit (ON VISTA ULTIMATE) and it did fine.

Now, I can't bring the site up on the local host - saw several posts about that. I hope I can figure it out. Looking forward to many hours of module/page construction on this powerful set of software. Pat Patrick, TX

My guess is tat when you added the module before that the reference to DotNetNuke.dll was simply broken in the project files.  Giving you the error.

If you need help with the setup to access/host DNN via IIS, have a look at my installation guides, and video on http://www.mitchelsellers.com
