I upgraded my forum module to 4.4.3.  I changed the theme back to 'default' so I would start as basic as possible.  I notice that when I hover over the forum menu, I see the Moderate/Admin/My Settings/My Posts/Search/Forum Home/Help/Print in the drop down list.  Only the help and print has the appropriate images/gifs shown.  The other files just have the X so I'm missing a few gifs?  The install process didn't report any errors.  Did I miss a step somewhere?

You have to change the image format in Global setting from gif to png.  Also for using in I.E 6 enable the png fix script.

awesome!  i just wanted to publicly say "thank you" for your help.  changing the img to png fixed the problem.  it's clear I still have lots to learn with DNN!

? Have just upgraded ( thanks to the team , appreciated ) but using the simply clean theme i also have the red X outcome, are you saying we need to remane every.gif with .png for this to work ?

the forum theme image extension has png entered into it by default but lost from there as these files are .gif ? do i place the file path to this folder into that section or am i on the wrong track ? any help would be great

The template "simply clean" is for 3.x Forum versions not for the 4.x.   So use please the default theme, or modified it by your self.  Also some Other Forum 4.x Themes are availible from www.dnnforums.com.
