I know that these forums are moderated.  I assume that the moderation process stops the spammers, and the worst flames, from getting through.

I know a trust facility exists in the forums module.  Is there a guideline after which ordinary posters get trusted?

I have never (yet) had a post fail moderation; so my perspective is that moderation is not adding value and just delays any posts I make.

There is a compleate new Manual for Gallery 4.4.4 availible on the Forge - Forum Project page download.   It is similar too 4.4.3.

Matthias missed your point.

Fortunately for you, you did not need to wait for his post to be moderated...

Obviously, the design of the forum makes it so it must be easier to wade through approving all posts, than it is to delete the occasional spam. That, or they just like the control.

Richard, you're now unmoderated.

y01nk, we do actually get quite a lot of spam , and many posts that need to be moved as they're in the incorrect forums. From time to time I also delete posts that break the forum rules e.g. are libelous/insulting etc. Naturally this is an overhead. is At some point I'd like to see the forums be unmoderated (except for certain forums such as the Announcements forum), and have a way for the community to notify moderators of questionable posts. I'll discuss this with the forums team and see if they can build a mechanism for this into a future forums release.
