I can access my database using MS SQL Server Management Studio Express but that is all I seem to be able to do. I need to delete files from the database - how do i do that?

Does deleting files in file manager not delete them from the database? It doesn't seem to free up any space?

Where do I go in MS SQL Server Management Studio Express to see what is in the database and delete files? Is it not possible to do this in this application?

Thank-you in anticipation. I really want to carry on using dnn but this is looking like a deal breaker right now!

To view what's in a table, open up the database, go to tables, find the table you want, right-click and select Open Table.

In the File Manager, where are you storing the files? (Top left where it says Folders) Also, how big is your database? I've yet to ever fill a database on any DNN install.

Thanks very much.

The problem is that I have no experience of databases so I don't know how to to open it up. I used enterprise manager to run a query to find out that it was full but that is the full extent of my experience. My database is 30MB and it's full of video.

I've made a normal folder structure to store files but when I delete them through file manager it doesn't free up any space on the database.
