Steve I am experiencing download problems as well. It used to work fine. Now all downloads have errors.

Pictures are truncated, PFDs cannot be opend and doc's are empty when opened. Yet the file on the server is fine. If I copy it to the desktop and open it itworks fine. If I try to open or download from Repository it has errors.  I checked in Host settings and I am not using compression. I am at a loss please advise.

in addition to checking your DNN compression settings, have you also checked your IIS compression settings?
