I've done a search on this topic and have been unable to find a hard number, but I'm wondering if there's a hard limit to the number of e-mails that can be sent via the default newsletter module in DNN. I know that there may be a limit imposed by the e-mail provider, but if someone wanted to send a newsletter to 15,000 recipients, would DNN allow that?

Thanks!

there is no limit specified in DotNetNuke.

Nope no "limit" so far my biggest attempt has been 25k emails. Now please note its wise to schedule the emails to be sent during slower times for your site, as it can become taxing on the DNN database to send large email lists. 15k email look ups start to quickly fill ram / cache if your database is fast. But besides a performance hit on the database there really is no hard limit.

Note that there may very well be a limit to the amount of email you can send out through your hosting account in one go. I suggest asking there. If you find it's too low then you can look into one of the commerical newsletter modules that can stagger delivery.

As everyone mentioned, DNN will not limit you.

However, the limiting of your hosting provider would be something to check into....
