DNN 3.2.2 is a good release, as is DNN 3.1.1. DNN4 is still not quite a perfect release and is going through changes at this stage.  People installing DNN4 are usually doing so because they develop in the VS 2005 space and need to run aspnet 2 - these are the key elements that people are using DNN4 for.

For those who are simply looking at an install that is good, then DNN 3.2.2 is a good build.  It installs well on Win2k & Windows 2003.  There don't seem to be the same amount of problems.

These are only my opinions, but it's really up to you which way to go - but for me, the bleeding edge of technology has left me somewhat scarred for the moment and I feel comfortable with builds I know work and don't make your hair too grey to install.

I've heard several stories of people having difficulty installing DNN4, and switching back to DNN 3.2.2 and it running in a very short time, so that's what makes me think that perhaps DNN 3.2.2 isn't such a bad choice afterall.

In summary- 3.2.2 is a good build on win2k & windows 2003 - so it might be worth giving that a try - it runs in medium trust which most hosters like too.

Hi Nina,

is DNN 3.2.2 running with aspnet 2 or must I say my ISP to change to aspnet 1.1 for my MS SQL DB?
May I should do a clean installation on 3.2.2 to see how`s going.

Yes, Change the IIS settings to 1.1 - that is correct and yes, if you want to move ahead without further delays - I'd be running with 3.2.2 in a clean install. And that does mean uploading the whole 3.2.2 folder to a new directory and starting from scratch.

Just my thoughts on the matter.

Ok I'll try.
Question: Does Dnn 3.2.2 also run with an MySQL DB or only with an MS SQL DB?

At this stage, DotNetNuke only runs on MSSQL DB.

Let us know how you go - I'll be here for another hour.
