Hi,

We have recently gone live with our new dnn site and it doesnt work.  In test environment the website worked fine internally.  But since we have made it live using our new web address (e.g. http://www.example.co.uk) it does not work.  It appears to load the main page fine but when u try and log in its appears to try and go to an internal page that should be now live.  The website seems to try and access internal pages rather than something onlong the lines of http://www.example.co.uk/dnnlive/LinkClick.aspx?Link=393. You can probably tell from above that im am no expert and I dont really know what to do so any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

Tom

In your database there should be a PortalAlias table

See what is listed in there, you might try removing any of the "testing" urls, and only leaving your production url in there.

Thanks i have passed the info onto our server team so hopefully they might fix it.  But in addition to what I said I have been looking at the web site and I have discovered that when I try to log on, I get the usual error:

The following error was encountered:

  • Connection Failed

The system returned:

    (110) Connection timed out

The remote host or network may be down. Please try the request again..

And the URL it tried to load http://www.example.org.uk:20012/Home/tabid/36/Default.aspx has “:20012” in side it.  When I removed this part of the URL and refresh the page it loads up fine.

Any more help would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

Tom

Accepted Answer

Go into the PortalAlias table and remove the PORT from the alias

:20012
