Hello,

I have a couple of parent portals that, when going to Admin->User Accounts, get an error:

Error: User Accounts is currently unavailable.
DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. ---> System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at _ASP.Users_ascx.__DataBind__control19(Object sender, EventArgs e) at System.Web.UI.Control.OnDataBinding(EventArgs e) at System.Web.UI.Control.DataBind() at System.Web.UI.Control.DataBind() at System.Web.UI.Control.DataBind() at System.Web.UI.WebControls.DataGrid.CreateItem(Int32 itemIndex, Int32 dataSourceIndex, ListItemType itemType, Boolean dataBind, Object dataItem, DataGridColumn[] columns, TableRowCollection rows, PagedDataSource pagedDataSource) at System.Web.UI.WebControls.DataGrid.CreateControlHierarchy(Boolean useDataSource) at System.Web.UI.WebControls.BaseDataList.OnDataBinding(EventArgs e) at System.Web.UI.WebControls.BaseDataList.DataBind() at DotNetNuke.Modules.Admin.Users.UserAccounts.BindData(String SearchText, String SearchField) at DotNetNuke.Modules.Admin.Users.UserAccounts.Page_Load(Object sender, EventArgs e) --- End of inner exception stack trace ---

Does anybody have an idea of what is causing this?  I did a brief search of these forums but did not come up with anything yet.

Thanks :)

Tim ^5 (got problems with counting )

the issue is reported several times and should be logged into Gemini (http://support.dotnetnuke.com). have a look there, if it is already solved for next release version.

It is in Gemini?  I went there and searched for "Error: User Accounts is currently unavailable." and a few other things (grr text is red now, but I'm lazy to change it) and I didn't come up with any listing or workaround/fix.

Did you?  If so, could you cut/paste the URL you found it at?

Much appreciative!!!

I still can't find anything in Gemini.  If possible, could you tell me what was done to fix it or link me the URL?  Upgrading isn't really an option for me, however, I can change whatever core files need to be changed to resolve this.  Thx :)

Thanks : )

Tim...,

you should search for Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

This has been reported several times and AFAIK has been looked after by the core team, so it will be corrected in next version. I am not sure, if there is a single modification, that will solve it for current version.
