I have a question regarding programatically adding threads to a forum.

Basically, I need to create a custom module for a customer. This customer would like to have a thread created for each record submission. They would also like the thread status to be marked as resolved when their record status changes to resolved.

I haven't played with the DNN fourms too much; however, this looks like the simplest solution to my customer requirement.

Can this be done? If so, where is it documented?

Thanks!

Cheers!

Hey Chris - Can you answer this for me?

I have been looking at the classes, but I don't see an AddThread function. So please post back.

Cheers!

Hey John,

You can use the PostController and PostInfo to add posts to forum. When ready you can use the ThreadController to change the thread status.

Cheers!
