I'm interested in using DNN skinning technology in a non-DNN project.  Meaning, I'm writing a custom app, and would like to give users the ability to use any DNN skin to style the custom application.  Has something like this ever been done?  Is there an easy way to indentify the modules / pages necessary?  There will obviously be some re-coding involved, but at present I can't even seem to identify all of the pieces that I need.

Thanks in advance,
Alex

The skinning system is an integral part of DNN - and wraps and weaves thru much of the presentation code.

Im not should exactly what you would gain from trying to hack out just the skinning part of the framework,

After all - all the skinning system really is - is a set of CSS and a way to handle the dynamic creation of HTML
